Nellore (AP), April 1 (TNT): Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Wednesday asserted that Amaravati will remain the sole capital of the State, stating that “not even an inch will be moved.”
Addressing a public meeting under the “Pedala Sevalo” programme at Vinjamur in Nellore district, he expressed satisfaction over Parliament approving the Bill granting legal status to Amaravati, saying it has removed all uncertainty regarding the capital’s future.
He described Amaravati as a symbol of the self-respect of the people of Andhra Pradesh and thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and all parties that supported the legislation.
The Chief Minister criticised the previous government’s three-capital proposal, alleging it created confusion and hindered development.
