Hyderabad, Feb 1 (TNT) : Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Ltd, a part of the Tata Group, a USD 180-billion multinational, on Sunday reported strong growth in both domestic and international markets, registering total sales of 71,066 units in January 2026, marking a 47.1 per cent increase compared to 48,316 units sold in January 2025.
Domestic passenger vehicle sales, including electric vehicles, stood at 70,222 units, up from 48,076 units in the corresponding month last year, reflecting a robust 46.1 per cent growth, the company said in a release.
International business (IB) sales surged sharply to 844 units, compared to 240 units a year ago, recording a significant 251.7 per cent rise.
Overall passenger vehicle (PV) sales, inclusive of EVs, reached 71,066 units, underscoring the company’s continued momentum across segments.
Electric vehicle sales across domestic and international markets also witnessed strong traction, with volumes rising to 9,052 units in January 2026 from 5,240 units in January 2025, registering a growth of 72.7 per cent.
The figures include sales from Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Limited, a subsidiary of the company.
The performance reflects Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles’ expanding portfolio, growing acceptance of its EV offerings, and sustained demand in the domestic market, alongside improving traction in overseas markets.
