Telangana DGP Shivadhar Reddy Pays Tribute to IPS Officer Umesh Chandra on 60th Birth Anniversary

Hyderabad, Mar 29 (TNT): Telangana Director General of Police B. Shivadhar Reddy on Sunday paid rich tributes to late IPS officer Chadalavada Umesh Chandra on his 60th birth anniversary.

The commemorative event was held at S.R. Nagar in Hyderabad, where the DGP garlanded the statue of the late officer and recalled his distinguished service in maintaining law and order.

Describing Umesh Chandra as a symbol of courage, integrity and dedication, Shivadhar Reddy highlighted his leadership during challenging periods marked by extremist activity and his unwavering commitment to public safety.

On the occasion, the DGP also unveiled a book chronicling the life and service of Umesh Chandra.

He noted in his foreword that the officer had rendered outstanding service to the police department with sincerity and professionalism throughout his career.

Former Andhra Pradesh DGP Ch. Dwaraka Tirumala Rao, Umesh Chandra’s father Chadalavada Venugopala Rao and other dignitaries were present.

The DGP said Umesh Chandra’s legacy as a mentor and leader continues to inspire younger police personnel and described the publication of the book as a fitting tribute to his service.
