Amaravathi, Mar 26 (TNT): YSR Congress Party President and former Chief Minister, Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy expressed deep shock over the horrific road accident that occurred in Markapuram district on Thursday morning.
Referring to the incident near Rayavaram, where several passengers were burnt alive following a collision between a tipper lorry and a private travels bus, he described it as extremely tragic.
Expressing profound grief over the incident, he conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the families of the deceased and wished a speedy recovery to the injured.
Jagan stated that the accident was deeply distressing and urged the state government to respond immediately by providing the best possible medical care to the victims, along with all necessary assistance.
He also called for the injured to be shifted to well-equipped nearby hospitals and treated by specialised medical teams.
Demanding a comprehensive inquiry into the causes of the accident, he called for strict action against those responsible.
He stressed that there should be no negligence in implementing road safety standards and advised the government to take stringent measures to prevent such incidents from recurring.
He further urged the government to announce immediate financial assistance to the affected families and support them in every possible way.
