Ugadi Celebrations Held with ‘Tribhuvana Vijayam’ Kavi Sammelanam in Visakhapatnam

Visakhapatnam, Mar 19 (TNT): Ugadi celebrations of Sri Parabhava Nama Samvatsaram were held with religious fervour at Sri Sathya Sai Prema Sadan in MVP Colony here on Thursday, organised by the Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisations, Visakhapatnam district. 

The programme began with Vedic chanting, recitation of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba’s Ashtottaram and offering of Ugadi Pachadi as Naivedyam.

As part of the celebrations, the traditional Pandiri Rata ceremony marking the commencement of Sri Sita Rama Kalyanam preparations was also performed.

A highlight of the event was the “Sri Sathya Sai Tribhuvana Vijayam” Kavi Sammelanam, conducted under the guidance of Acharya Kolavennu Malayavasini, retired Telugu professor.

Speaking on the occasion, she said the programme reflects India’s rich literary and cultural heritage and promotes values inspired by the message of “Love All, Serve All.”

A compilation of literary works presented during the Kavi Sammelanam was released by the guests.

Several scholars, writers and artistes participated in the programme and presented compositions on themes such as spirituality, devotion, human values, environmental awareness and the teachings of Sri Sathya Sai Baba.

Participants were felicitated and Vedic blessings were offered.

In the evening, Vedic chanting and Namasankeerthan were held, followed by Panchanga Sravanam and Mangala Harathi.

District President P.R.S.S. Naidu, City Samithi Convener B. Sai Kumar, office-bearers, members, Sai youth, Balavikas children and devotees attended the programme.
