Tirumala, Mar 19 (TNT): On the auspicious occasion of Telugu New Year day on Thursday, Ugadi Asthanam was held with utmost religious fervour in Tirumala temple.
The presiding deity as well the Utsava Murthies were offered new Vastrams on the occasion.
As a part of Asthanam, Panchanga Sravanam was presented by Vedic scholar in front of Sri Bhu Sameta Sri Malayappa Swamy and Vishvaksena in Bangaru Vakili.
Later Harati and Prasadams were offered with which the traditional temple court concluded in a grand manner.
Later the devotees were allowed for Darshan.
Both the Tirumala Pontiffs, TTD Executive Officer M Ravichandra, board members, JEO Health and Education Dr Sharath, CVSO Sri Muralikrishna and other temple officials were also present.
TTD EO extended Ugadi Greetings to all the devotees of Sri Venkateswara Swamy present across the world on the occasion.
The floral decorations by TTD Garden Department enhanced the grandeur of Sri Parabhavanama Ugadi festivities in Tirumala.
The entire temple premises, Maha Dwaram, floral dioramas in front of the temple, GNC toll Gate attracted the devotees.
