Hyderabad, Jan 30 (TNT) : Telangana artists captivated Delhi audiences with the Perini Shiva Tandavam at the Red Fort during Bharat Parv–2026.
Performed on Friday afternoon on the lawns near Gyan Path, the dance traditionally dedicated to Lord Shiva and performed by warriors before battle is also called the “Dance of Warriors.”
Originating nearly 800 years ago during the Kakatiya dynasty in Telangana, this classical form combines vigorous movements with spiritual devotion.
The performance was part of Republic Day celebrations, organized annually at Gyan Path.
Dr. Shashank Goel, Telangana Bhavan Resident Commissioner, personally attended the show and praised the artists for their outstanding presentation.
