Hyderabad, Mar 16 (TNT): Two Telugu films—Game Changer and Visvam—won honours at the IIFTC Tourism Impact Awards 2026 held in Mumbai, highlighting the growing global presence of the Telugu film industry.
Produced by Dil Raju, Game Changer and Venu Donepudi’s action entertainer Visvam were recognised for promoting international destinations through cinematic storytelling.
Accepting the award for Visvam, Donepudi said the platform plays a key role in connecting Indian cinema with global audiences.
He noted that the film’s visually striking sequences shot in Italy received special appreciation.
“IIFTC is a fantastic platform that connects Indian cinema with the world. A location is as important as a lead actor in a film—it becomes a character in itself,” Donepudi said, thanking the organisers for recognising the film’s international shoot.
He added that as Indian cinema expands its global reach across genres and platforms, initiatives like the IIFTC awards create a mutually beneficial relationship between the film industry and international tourism.
