BJP announces 15-Day state-wide agitation against Congress Govt in Telangana

Hyderabad, Mar 14 (TNT): Telangana state Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) President  N. Ramchander Rao on Saturday announced a 15-day statewide agitation against the Congress government in Telangana, accusing it of pursuing anti-people policies.

Speaking to the media after releasing a poster highlighting alleged failures of the state government, Ramchander Rao said the BJP would intensify its struggle to highlight public issues and pressure the Congress administration to address them.

As part of the first phase of the agitation, BJP workers will stage protests at mandal offices across the state on March 16 and submit memorandums to local authorities outlining public grievances.

Similar protest programmes will be held in front of District Collector offices on March 20 in all district headquarters, he said.

The BJP leader said additional programmes would be announced soon as part of the agitation and appealed to the people of Telangana to support the party’s movement against the government.

He said the party was committed to fighting for the rights of the people and would organise the programmes in a way that compels the state government to respond to the concerns raised by the public.
