TTD Plans to Scale Up Panchagavya Products Production

Tirupati, Mar 12 (TNT): Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) is planning to expand the production and distribution of Panchagavya-based products to meet growing demand among devotees, a senior official said on Thursday.

TTD Joint Executive Officer (Health & Education) A. Sarath said the temple body is focusing on increasing output at the Namami Govinda Panchagavya Products Manufacturing Unit near Alipiri while streamlining supply through its information centres.

Speaking after inspecting the facility, Sarath said about 15 varieties of Panchagavya products are currently being produced using derivatives of indigenous cows such as milk, curd, ghee, urine and dung.

The product range includes nasal drops, herbal floor cleaner, Nandini Gou Ark, logs, churnam, dhoop sticks, dhoop cones, vibhuti, herbal tooth powder, herbal face pack, herbal soap and herbal shampoo.

He said the temple administration is identifying high-demand products to scale up production while ensuring quality through natural preparation methods.

The Panchagavya products are being manufactured with technical support from Ashirvad Ayurveda based in Coimbatore.

TTD is also planning awareness campaigns to promote the benefits of Panchagavya-based products among devotees while improving availability across its sales outlets.

TTD Goshala Director A. V. N. Sivakumar and Ayurveda College Principal Renu Deekshit were present during the inspection.
