SPECIAL FOCUS ON PALAMANERU TTD GOSALA – TTD JEO Dr. SHARATH

Tirupati, Mar 3 (TNT) : TTD Joint Executive Officer (Health & Education) Dr. A. Sharath said that special attention is being given to the care and protection of cows at the TTD Gosala in Palamaneru.

On Tuesday, he visited the Gosala along with officials and reviewed the facilities.

He instructed the officials to ensure that all cows are provided with timely fodder, drinking water, and necessary medical care.

The Gosala is spread over about 450 acres, and currently 542 cows are being cared for there.

He suggested that instead of sending the cows for grazing twice a day (morning and afternoon), they should be sent once in the morning and brought back to the sheds in the evening.

He said that green fodder is already available in 13 acres and advised officials to identify suitable land to grow more green grass for the cows.

The JEO directed the officials to maintain daily records in each shed regarding feed provided, shed maintenance, drinking water supply, cleanliness, and medicines given to prevent diseases.

He said that caring for cows should be done with the same responsibility and importance as caring for small children.

He also suggested planting more trees to provide proper shade for the cows.

Dr. Sharath instructed the officials to visit the Sri Sri Gosala in Bengaluru to study the best practices being followed there and submit a report.

Earlier, he inspected various sections of the Palamaneru Gosala and gave several suggestions to the staff.

TTD Gosala Director Dr. AVN Sivakumar, Palamaneru Special Officer Dr. Chaitanya, Veterinary Managers Dr. Anil Kumar and Mr. Shivamanohar Reddy, engineering officials, and staff participated in the program.
