Kakinada , Mar 2 (TNT): Jai Bhimrao Bharat Party(JBB) President Jada Sravan Kumar has demanded the government to pay Rs. 1 Crore exgratia to the families of those lost their lives and Rs.50 lakhs to those injured besides providing employment to one of the family members of the victims.
Sravan visited the scene of the series of blasts in the Crackers factory at Vetlapalem in which so far claimed a death toll of 23 on Monday.
Talking to media person afrter visiting the Government General hospital (GGH) in Kakinada and enquired the health of those undergoing treatment for severe burns and also interacted with their family members, he said that that the deaths of 23 workers in the explosion was certainly a State Government’s murder and Government has to own the sole responsibility.
He also found fault with the Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and Deputy CM Pavan kalyan for taking the blasts incident in a most casual manner and left the scene of blast after announcing a mere exgratia compensation of Rs.20 lakhs and suspending four officials.
Those suspended will be soon reinstated which is a normal process. The incident requires stringent punishment, he said.
Lashing at the government for its complacency in enforcing the laws, Sravan said that as against 87 cracker manufacture units in the state only 33 were having no objection certificate from the fire safety department which speaks volumes about the government.
Sravan warned that if the government did not concede his demand of Rs.1 Crore exgratia to those lost lives and Rs.50 lakhs to those injured , he would launch a state wide agitation on behalf of his Jai Bhimrao Bharat Party, he added.
