Leverage AI to improve administrative efficiency, CM Naidu tells officials

Amaravati, Mar 2 (TNT): Andhra Pradesh N Chandrababu Naidu on Monday directed officials to enhance administrative efficiency by leveraging Artificial Intelligence (AI) across all government departments.

Reviewing the functioning of the Real Time Governance Society (RTGS) and public perception on government services at his camp office, the Chief Minister called for the establishment of a comprehensive mechanism to effectively integrate data from drones, CCTV cameras and satellite sources to improve service delivery and performance monitoring.

Expressing concern over recurring accidents and mishaps in the State, Naidu stressed the need for strict vigilance and preventive measures.

To prevent recurrence of explosions at firecracker manufacturing units, he directed officials to visit Sivakasi in Tamil Nadu and study the safety protocols followed there.

He also instructed authorities to ensure adequate drinking water facilities at RTC bus stations during the summer season.

On welfare delivery, the Chief Minister directed officials to ensure there are no lapses in pension distribution, with special focus on vulnerable Swarna Gramas and Swarna Wards.

Naidu made it clear that surveys should be conducted only to collect additional information and that both citizens and government staff should not be repeatedly burdened with the same data collection exercises.

Officials informed the Chief Minister that WhatsApp-based ‘Mana Mitra’ services have been expanded to 953 services.

He directed that wider public awareness be created to ensure effective utilisation of these services.
