Hyderabad, Mar 1 (TNT): TiE Hyderabad launched the 7th edition of TiE Women 2026 at the Women Entrepreneurs’ Special Edition of TiE OpenMic here on Friday night.
The chapter announced plans to expand the program to Tier-2 cities in Telangana, targeting 200 applicants this year—double last year’s participation.
Speaking on the occasion, Murali Kakarla, President, TiE Hyderabad, emphasized inclusivity, allowing rural women founders to pitch in Telugu and highlighting that there is no entry fee to participate.
To encourage membership, the chapter is offering a 50 percent discount on Associate and Charter Memberships for women registering before March 31, the Presiden added.
Ankit Sanjay Shah, TiE Women Committee Chair, described the initiative as a global mentorship and networking platform, connecting women entrepreneurs to investors and growth opportunities.
TiE Hyderabad has so far engaged 600+ women entrepreneurs, facilitated $352,000 in equity-free grants, and supported founders like Sowmya Darapaneni, last year’s winner featured in TiE50 and TGS100 global startup lists,Ankit added.
This year’s program will conduct roadshows in cities including Nizamabad, Warangal, Karimnagar, and Khammam, providing wider access to mentorship, investor connects, and entrepreneurial development opportunities.
