Chief Justice of India arrives in Tirumala

Tirumala, Feb 28 (TNT): Chief Justice of India, Justice Surya Kant, arrived in Tirumala on Saturday evening for a two-day visit.

He was received at Sri Padmavathi Rest House by TTD Executive Officer M Ravi Chandra, Additional Executive Officer Ch Venkaiah Chowdary, and other officials.

After offering prayers at the Tirumala temple, he will lay the foundation stone for the new district court complex at Daminedu on the outskirts of Tirupati on March 1.

Ahead of the ceremony, a team led by District Collector S Venkateswar, Joint Collector R Govinda Rao, trainee Collector Sandeep Raghuvanshi, Superintendent of Police L Subbarayudu, and Tirupati Airport Director Bhuminathan inspected the site for the Bhumi Puja.
