15 Foreign Minister expected to participate in CII Partnership Summit to be held in Visakhapatnam on Nov 12,13
Amaravati, Nov 7 (TNT) : Andhra Pradesh will host the 31st CII Partnership Summit–2026 in Visakhapatnam on November 12 and 13, bringing together representatives from 59 countries, including 15 foreign ministers, to promote global investments, international trade and technological partnerships.
Around 1,250 delegates, including more than 40 international speakers, 350 foreign delegates and 900 Indian participants, are expected to attend the two-day summit themed ‘Navigating New World Order: Trade, Technology, Trust’.
Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Saturday reviewed the arrangements, proposed discussion topics and draft declarations for the summit with officials and CII Director General Chandrajit Banerjee at his camp office.
During the review, Naidu said the summit should provide a common platform for policymakers, investors, industries, educational institutions and startups to explore business and technological partnerships.
The primary objective should be to connect Andhra Pradesh industries with global markets and create new business opportunities for micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), he said.
He stressed the need to highlight investment opportunities in green energy, technology and semiconductor sectors and promote the state’s capabilities in technological collaboration and skilled human resources.
The Chief Minister said Andhra Pradesh had the advantage of investor-friendly policies, skilled professionals, infrastructure, knowledge and strong leadership.
He called for conveying to global investors that investments in the state were safe and that doing business was easy.
He also suggested that initiatives such as payment of industrial incentives through escrow accounts and the Speed of Doing Business policy should receive wider international recognition.
Around 400 Business-to-Business (B2B) meetings will be organised during the summit to facilitate partnerships among companies, while Business-to-Government (B2G) meetings will provide an opportunity for industries to interact with governments.
Government representatives from Singapore, Nepal, Cambodia, Myanmar, the United Arab Emirates, Canada, the Slovak Republic, Mauritius, Mozambique, Egypt, Algeria, Tanzania and Guatemala are among those expected to participate.
Ambassadors of various countries and representatives of international organisations, including the World Food Programme, Asian Development Bank and United Nations Environment Programme, will also attend.
The discussions will focus on six key themes: trade, investments and global value chains; trust, geoeconomics and global cooperation; agriculture, food security and bio-based economy; talent, skills and international employment opportunities; technology, innovation and future industries; and clean energy and sustainable growth.
