New Delhi, Nov 3 (TNT): The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has received a special Certificate of Recognition from the Asia Book of Records for conducting an offline artificial intelligence (AI) healthcare training programme involving 203 doctors in a single day.
The record, titled “Maximum Doctors Participated in an Offline AI Healthcare Training Session in a Day”, was achieved on May 17, 2026, through a joint initiative of NBEMS, Medical Dialogues and the National Medical Forum.
The Asia Book of Records officially confirmed the achievement on August 11, 2026, the Board said in a release on Tuesday.
A felicitation ceremony was held here recently to mark the achievement.
NBEMS Additional Director Dr Vinay Gupta and Governing Body member Dr Rakesh Sharma received the certificate on behalf of the Board.
The training programme provided doctors with hands-on exposure to AI-powered tools, including ChatGPT, Claude, Microsoft Copilot, Perplexity, Canva AI and Gamma AI.
It covered applications such as clinical documentation, preparation of discharge summaries and outpatient department notes, medical presentations, literature reviews and streamlining routine medical workflows.
Earlier this year, NBEMS also received Guinness World Records recognition for the most viewers of an artificial intelligence in healthcare lesson livestreamed on YouTube, recording a peak concurrent viewership of 17,999 during its nationwide online training initiative.
