Telangana Govt to Install CCTV in Hotel Kitchens to Prevent Food Adulteration

Hyderabad, Feb 28 (TNT): The Telangana government will install CCTV cameras in the kitchens of all hotels in Hyderabad to curb rising food adulteration cases.

The cameras will be linked to the city’s command control center for continuous monitoring.

During a high-level review of Municipal Administration and Urban Development here on Friday,  Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy stressed regular inspections, evaluation of hotel food safety measures, and rating systems.

He also emphasized fire safety in high-rise buildings, installation of advanced equipment, and water harvesting wells across the city.

The CM instructed the consolidation of road maintenance under a single agency to speed up works and reviewed models for elevated corridors to ease traffic congestion.

He directed officials to prioritize quality in new government buildings and explore converting historical buildings and water bodies into tourist destinations.

The meeting was attended by Chief Secretary Ramakrishna Rao, CM Principal Secretary V. Seshadri, MAUD Special Chief Secretary Jayesh Ranjan, HYDRAA and HMDA Commissioners, MRDCL MD, and Commissioners of Hyderabad, Cyberabad, and Malkajgiri.
