Delhi Toofans Finalise 14-Member Squad for Prime Volleyball League Season 5
Owned by Resolute Sports, the franchise has assembled a mix of Indian and international players across key positions under Italian head coach Fabio Menta.
The squad includes outside hitters George Antony, Deepak Kumar M, Amadou Laye Samb and Sheik Numan; opposites Abhishek Rajeev and Yoan David; middle blockers Pravin P, Muhammed Jasim and James Weir; setters Lal Sujan M V and Muhammed Shamil O K; liberos Anand and Aljo Sabu; and blocker Arsak Sinan.
The support staff comprises assistant coach V V Jayakumar, technical director Shailen Ramdoo, analyst Jitendra Kumar, physiotherapist Joshua Bruce, strength and conditioning coach Amal Manohar, manager Karan Pathak and operations executive Abhijit Vishwakarma.
Alok Sanghi, Chairman of Resolute Sports, said finalising the squad marked an important milestone in the team’s preparations.
The franchise had brought together a balanced combination of Indian and international talent to build a cohesive and competitive unit, he added.
Resolute Sports CEO Sai Prakash K said the team’s focus would be on performance, collaboration and player development as it moved into the next phase of preparations.
Menta, who brings more than two decades of experience with professional clubs, national teams and international development programmes, said the priority was to develop a clear playing philosophy, tactical discipline and consistency.
Delhi Toofans made an impact in their debut season in 2024 by reaching the final and finishing runners-up. The franchise will look to build on that performance as the league enters its fifth season.
