Vadodara, Feb 27 (TNT): BMW Group India has kicked off the 16th edition of the BMW Golf Cup 2026, with the Vadodara leg successfully concluding at the Gaekwad Baroda Golf Club.
The tournament witnessed strong participation from amateur golfers, showcasing competitive spirit and precision across categories.
Mr. Vikram Singhal (Category A) and Mr. Bharat Chowkshi (Category B) emerged as winners in their respective handicap divisions, securing qualification for the BMW Golf Cup 2026 National Final to be held later this year.
The BMW Golf Cup 2026 features two handicap categories:
Category A: Handicap up to 12
Category B: Handicap 13–28
Winners of each category at city qualifiers advance to the National Final.
The top performers at the National Final will go on to represent India at the BMW Golf Cup World Final.

The BMW Golf Cup, one of the world’s largest amateur golf tournament series, originated in the UK as the BMW Invitation Tournament before expanding globally.
Today, it comprises nearly 1,000 qualifying tournaments involving around 100,000 players across up to 40 countries, culminating in the prestigious World Final.
The 2026 edition in India will be hosted across major cities including Hyderabad, Mumbai, Pune, Ahmedabad, Delhi, Vadodara, Jaipur, Bengaluru, Lucknow, Patna, Kolkata and Gurugram, supported by brand partners such as Omega, Etihad, TaylorMade, Ballantine’s and HSBC.
