L&T Bags Large Orders for Secretariat Buildings in Delhi, Office Towers in Andha Pradesh
The first order involves the construction of Common Central Secretariat buildings 4 and 5 along Kartavya Path in New Delhi.
Awarded by CPWD, the project will be executed on an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) basis.
The two buildings, comprising a basement, ground floor and seven upper floors, will have a combined built-up area of 32.8 lakh sq ft.
L&T will undertake structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical and plumbing works, besides external development.
The project is scheduled for completion in 24 months, followed by a five-year operation and maintenance period.
The second order, awarded by the Andhra Pradesh government, involves the construction of two office towers on either side of the Amaravati Quantum Computing Centre in Amaravati.
The towers will comprise a basement, ground floor and 47 upper floors each, with a combined built-up area of 37.5 lakh sq ft.
L&T will execute the project on a design-and-build basis, covering shell and core works, with completion scheduled in 30 months.
Both orders fall under L&T’s Public Spaces, Airports and Health business vertical.
The company said the projects reinforced its track record in delivering complex infrastructure developments for government agencies.
