Telangana: Peddapalli MP Vamsi Alleges Negligence in Ramagundam Airport Project
Peddapalli (Telangana), oct 19 (TNT): Peddapalli MP Gaddam Vamsi Krishna on Monday accused the district Collector and officials of negligence over the delay in the proposed Ramagundam Airport project and warned that any similar lapse in the development of the Ramagundam ESI Hospital would invite strong resentment from workers.
In a statement, the 37-year-oldĀ MP said that despite raising the airport issue repeatedly in Parliament over the past two years and personally visiting the project site, there had been no significant progress.
He expressed concern that the project had suffered a setback despite the state government paying Rs. 50 lakh to the Centre.
Questioning the Collector’s role, Vamsi Krishna asked whether the official was working in the interests of the people of the district or acting at the behest of a particular minister.
He asserted that he would continue his efforts to ensure the establishment of the Ramagundam Airport and called for accountability from the officials concerned.
Warning officials against showing similar negligence in the case of the Ramagundam ESI Hospital, the MP said the concerns of workers could not be ignored and that any failure to address the issue would trigger strong resentment among them.
