IIT Madras Centre Promotes Safe AI at India AI Impact Summit

Chennai, Feb 25 (TNT): IIT Madras’ Centre for Responsible AI (CeRAI) played a key role in promoting safe and trustworthy artificial intelligence at the India AI Impact Summit 2026 held in New Delhi.

CeRAI, a research centre under the Wadhwani School of Data Science and AI, served as a knowledge partner for the summit organised by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology under the IndiaAI Mission.

The centre hosted discussions on safe AI adoption in education, governance and Global South perspectives, and also showcased its research initiatives at the summit expo, the Institute said in a release here on Wednesday.

CeRAI Head Prof. B. Ravindran moderated a keynote discussion on the future of AI, highlighting the importance of responsible, transparent and trustworthy AI systems for societal impact.
