Hyd: West Indies beat India by 24 runs in fourth T20I, level series 2-2
West Indies posted a massive 247 for four after being put in to bat, with Shai Hope scoring an unbeaten 102, his second century of the series.
Hope also surpassed Chris Gayle’s record for the most T20I centuries by a West Indies batter.
Chasing the target, India were bowled out for 223 despite a half-century from Sanju Samson, who provided the team with a strong start.
India lost momentum after Samson’s dismissal, with wickets falling at regular intervals.
Nitish Reddy and Tilak Varma mounted a late challenge with a quickfire partnership, but Keemo Paul’s five-wicket haul derailed India’s chase and secured victory for West Indies.
The series is now level at 2-2, with the fifth and final T20I scheduled to be played at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on Saturday, October 17.
