GMR Aero Technic, UUDS Aero join hands to establish cabin excellence centre in Hyderabad
The proposed centre will focus on aircraft cabin interior design, modification, certification, repair, retrofitting, refurbishment, manufacturing and installation, providing comprehensive solutions to airlines and aircraft operators, a release said here on Wednesday.
The partnership brings together UUDS Aero’s expertise in cabin interior design, engineering, certification and production with GMR Aero Technic’s MRO infrastructure and operational capabilities.
UUDS Aero holds European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) Part 21J Design Organisation Approval (DOA) and Part 21G Production Organisation Approval (POA).
Ashok Gopinath, President and Accountable Manager of GMR Aero Technic, said the collaboration marked an important milestone in strengthening the company’s aircraft cabin interior capabilities. By combining UUDS Aero’s design and certification expertise with GMR Aero Technic’s MRO capabilities, the partnership aims to deliver integrated cabin solutions to customers in India and international markets.
Ashane Gunaratne, Group Chief Technology Officer and Managing Director – Middle East of UUDS Aero, said the partnership reflected the company’s long-term commitment to the Indian aviation market.
The collaboration would combine technical expertise in cabin design, engineering, certification, manufacturing and MRO to develop end-to-end cabin solutions, strengthen technical capabilities and create sustainable value for customers and both organisations, he added.
The initiative is expected to expand GMR Aero Technic’s portfolio of specialised aviation services and contribute to the development of India’s growing aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul ecosystem.
