Honda unveils new Elevate with refreshed design , enhanced features

Hyderabad, Oct 7 (TNT):  Honda Cars India Ltd (HCIL) , a leading manufacturer of premium cards in the country, on Tuesday unveiled the new Honda Elevate, featuring a refreshed exterior design, upgraded cabin, enhanced safety and convenience features, and Honda SENSING advanced driver-assistance technology.

The new Elevate is available in five manual variants and four CVT variants, with prices ranging from Rs 11.80 lakh to Rs 18.40 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), depending on the variant.

The updated mid-size SUV gets a new Bold Mesh Grille, Rugged Tri-Bar Signature LED Position Lights, full-width Connected Signature LED Tail Lamp, gloss-black styling elements and new 17-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, the company said in a release.

The cabin has been upgraded with a dual-tone Ivory-Black interior, soft-touch finishes, premium leather upholstery, front and rear ventilated seats, wrap-around ambient lighting, USB Type-C charging ports and power-adjustable front seats.

The new Elevate also features a 360-degree Surround Vision Camera, front and rear parking sensors, PM2.5 air-quality display, electric parking brake with Auto Brake Hold and a 26.03-cm (10.25-inch) touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

The SUV continues with Honda’s 1.5-litre i-VTEC petrol engine producing 121 PS and 145 Nm of torque, paired with a six-speed manual transmission or CVT with seven-speed paddle shift. The claimed fuel efficiency is 15.31 km/l for the manual and 16.61 km/l for the CVT.

Safety features include six airbags, ABS with EBD and Brake Assist, Vehicle Stability Assist, Hill Start Assist, 360-degree camera and Honda SENSING.

The ADAS suite includes Collision Mitigation Braking System, Adaptive Cruise Control, Road Departure Mitigation, Lane Keeping Assist, Lead Car Departure Notification and Auto High-Beam.

Honda Cars India President and CEO Toshiyuki Yanagisawa said India, being the company’s lead market for the model, is the first country globally to launch the new Elevate.

He said the refreshed SUV is expected to play a key role in the company’s festive-season momentum and product portfolio.

The New Elevate is offered in seven colour options, including the new Nordic Forest Pearl, available in single-tone and dual-tone configurations.
