Airtel offers free international roaming on all new postpaid plans
New Delhi, Oct 7 (TNT): Bharti Airtel on Wednesday announced new postpaid plans offering customers one free international roaming trip every year, along with unlimited data and calling, enhanced safety features and entertainment benefits, effective October 8.
Under the new plans, customers will receive a complimentary five-day international roaming pack comprising 5 GB of data, 60 minutes of calls, 25 outgoing SMSes and free incoming SMSes, the telecom said in a release.
Customers can activate the pack at a time of their choice during their international travel.
For customers on Airtel family postpaid plans, the free international roaming benefit will be available to every family member included in the plan.
Airtel said the new plans also include Fast Lane technology, unlimited data and network-level protection against spam and fraudulent links.
Customers will also get access to entertainment subscriptions and exclusive experiences through the Airtel Postpaid Advantage Club, including comedy shows, movie premieres and concerts.
Amit Tripathi, Director-Marketing Operations, Bharti Airtel, said the company was focused on providing postpaid customers with enhanced network experience, safety features, entertainment and other services, with free international roaming being the latest addition.
Under the new plans, the Rs 499 individual plan offers unlimited data and calling, spam and fraud prevention, Xstream Play Premium and Google One, along with one free international roaming trip per year.
The Rs 749 family plan for two members includes Amazon Prime, JioHotstar, Xstream Play Premium and Google One, besides one free international roaming trip per SIM each year.
The Rs 1,049 family plan for three members includes Apple iCloud+, Apple Music, Amazon Prime, JioHotstar, Xstream Play Premium and Google One, along with one free roaming trip per SIM annually.
The Rs 1,249 and Rs 1,449 family plans for four members offer similar benefits, with the latter additionally including Netflix Basic.
The Rs 1,799 family plan for five members includes Netflix Standard, Apple iCloud+, Apple Music, Amazon Prime, JioHotstar, Xstream Play Premium and Google One, besides one free international roaming trip per SIM every year.
The new plans will be available to all customers opting for Airtel Postpaid from October 8. Existing Airtel customers can upgrade through the Airtel App or by visiting an Airtel store, while non-Airtel customers can switch to postpaid through the app or at an Airtel store.
