Corteva completes seed business spin-off, becomes pure-play crop protection company
Hyderabad, Oct 5 (TNT): Corteva Inc on Monday announced the completion of the spin-off of its advanced seed and genetics business, marking its transition into a pure-play global crop protection company.
Corteva CEO Luke Kissam said the company would move forward with greater focus on innovation and operational excellence to address the evolving needs of the agriculture sector.
The company said its crop protection business increased revenue by more than USD 1 billion between 2020 and 2025, while operating EBITDA margins expanded by around 250 basis points on a segment basis.
During the period, Corteva established a biologicals and natural products platform and increased the share of differentiated technologies to around 65 per cent of sales, it said.
The company has an USD 11-billion crop protection pipeline and R&D capabilities covering microbial discovery, integrated development and predictive safety platforms.
Corteva said its nearly 9,000 employees currently serve growers in around 110 countries.
