AP: Vizag airport cautions job seekers against recruitment fraud

Visakhapatnam, Oct 1 (TNT): GMR Visakhapatnam International Airport Ltd (GVIAL) on Thursday  cautioned job seekers against fake recruitment offers circulated in the name of Alluri Sitarama Raju International Airport and the GMR Group.

In a release, the airport operator said it had received reports of fraudulent recruitment communications and clarified that neither GMR Group nor the airport charges candidates any fee during the recruitment process.

It also said it does not conduct walk-in interviews.

Genuine vacancies are advertised only on the official GMR Group careers website, and recruitment-related communication is sent through official GMR email addresses, GVIAL said.

It urged candidates not to pay money or share personal or financial information with individuals or agencies promising jobs, interviews or appointment letters.

Fraudsters may use the GMR name, logo and forged documents to make fake offers appear genuine, it added.

Candidates have been advised to verify all recruitment-related communications through official channels before responding.
