Anil Reddy Vennum elected AIPMA president

Hyderabad, Oct 1 (TNT): Hyderabad-based industrialist Anil Reddy Vennum has been unanimously elected president of the All India Plastics Manufacturers Association (AIPMA) for a one-year term.

He assumed charge at the association’s office in Mumbai on Thursday, the Assoication said in a release.

Vennum, who was serving as AIPMA’s senior vice-president for Mumbai, will focus on boosting plastics exports, promoting recycling and improving the competitiveness of micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs).

AIPMA, established in 1945, represents more than 22,000 members across over 175 cities, with nearly 90 per cent of its membership comprising MSMEs.

Vennum said his priorities included a national awareness campaign on responsible plastic use, initiatives to convert plastic waste into value-added products, and collaboration with governments and municipalities on waste management.

The association will also explore initiatives to promote plastic recycling, develop integrated Plastic Parks, improve manufacturing standards and help Indian plastics companies access international markets.
