Telangana Dy CM Bhatti appeals to Jagan, Mamata, Sharad Pawar to return to Congress

Kochi (Keralam), Sept  30 (TNT) : Telangana Deputy Chief Minister and Finance Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka on Wednesday appealed to former Congress leaders Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, Mamata Banerjee and Sharad Pawar to return to the party.

Speaking at the India Today South Conclave in Kochi, Bhatti said the Congress ideology was rooted in uniting people belonging to different communities and religions.

Recalling his association with former united Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy, Bhatti said a training programme for young legislators had brought him closer to the late leader and the Congress ideology.

Responding to a question on the Telangana Chief Minister’s post and Dalit leadership, Bhatti said party decisions should be respected and leaders should not be viewed through the lens of caste.

He also dismissed reports of differences with Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, asserting that they were working together with other ministers to implement the Congress government’s agenda.

“We are working 100 per cent together. We discuss and deliberate,” he added.
