BikeWo, Moonrider sign MoU to explore electric tractor deployment across sectors
Hyderabad,Sept 30 (TNT): Hyderabad-headquartered BikeWo Green Tech Limited, an electric mobility and logistics platform, on Wednesday announced that it had signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Bengaluru-based electric tractor company Moonrider to explore the deployment of electric tractors across institutional, commercial and specialised applications.
Under the partnership, the companies will combine Moonrider’s electric tractor technology with BikeWo’s capabilities in fleet deployment, leasing, operations and institutional customer development to identify potential applications and commercially viable deployment models.
The collaboration will explore use cases across agriculture, industrial facilities, warehouses, logistics hubs, airports, ports and other controlled or high-utilisation environments where electric tractors could meet specific operational requirements, the company said in a release here.
BikeWo will also explore providing fleet deployment, leasing and operational support to Moonrider’s existing and prospective customers to facilitate the adoption of electric tractors.
Hiten Pal Saklani, Chief Executive Officer of BikeWo Green Tech Limited, said the partnership would help identify institutional and specialised applications where electric tractors could offer commercially viable solutions based on utilisation patterns and operating economics.
He said the collaboration would combine Moonrider’s product capabilities with BikeWo’s institutional relationships and deployment infrastructure to develop scalable solutions for enterprise customers.
The partnership is part of BikeWo’s strategy to expand beyond conventional last-mile electric mobility into specialised electric vehicle applications and integrated mobility infrastructure. The company aims to work with original equipment manufacturers and technology providers across vehicle categories to develop flexible deployment models for enterprise and institutional customers.
As part of the MoU, the two companies will identify potential customers, assess pilot deployments and explore commercial opportunities.
Specific vehicle deployments, procurement and leasing arrangements will be subject to separate definitive agreements, the companies added.
