Greater Noida, Sept. 29 (TNT): The fourth edition of the Uttar Pradesh International Trade Show (UPITS) 2026 concluded on Tuesday with the signing of 4,400 Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) worth around ₹6,500 crore and potential business inquiries estimated at ₹15,500 crore.

The five-day event, held at the India Expo Centre and Mart from September 25 to 29, recorded 41,500 business-to-business (B2B) meetings, according to the Federation of Indian Export Organisations (FIEO).

Of the total meetings, 13,500 were conducted under FIEO’s Reverse Buyer-Seller Meet (RBSM), while around 28,000 business interactions took place in the main exhibition area.

The event recorded a total footfall of 5,98,693, including 1,74,990 domestic business buyers and 4,23,703 general visitors.

The number of B2B meetings increased by 31.12 per cent compared with the previous edition, while meetings under the RBSM segment rose by 123.1 per cent, from 6,050 to 13,500.

The number of signed MoUs increased by 12.82 per cent, from 3,900 to 4,400, while their estimated value rose from ₹2,680 crore to ₹6,500 crore.

Potential business inquiries also increased by 24 per cent, from ₹12,500 crore to ₹15,500 crore.

The trade show featured six partner countries — Russia, Austria, Japan, Singapore, Belarus and Vietnam — compared with Russia alone in the previous edition.

International delegations expressed interest in Uttar Pradesh’s manufacturing, information technology, electronics, textiles and agri-food processing sectors.

Traditional crafts, handlooms, brassware, carpets, leather goods and agricultural products from the state’s 75 districts were also showcased, providing opportunities for micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), manufacturers and artisans to connect with domestic and international buyers.

FIEO President S C Ralhan said the event demonstrated the potential of Uttar Pradesh’s MSMEs, exporters, manufacturers and artisans to access global markets.

He said the business meetings, MoUs and potential business inquiries reflected the growing trade opportunities in the state.

FIEO’s Reverse Buyer-Seller Meet had helped strengthen direct links between international buyers and Indian businesses, supporting market access and long-term partnerships, he added.
