SCR bags SKOCH Award 2026 for Rail Parcel App
Hyderabad, Sept 26 (TNT): South Central Railway (SCR) has received the SKOCH Award 2026 under the e-governance category for its integrated Rail Parcel App, developed by the Commercial Department of Hyderabad Division to improve railway parcel services through digitalisation, transparency and convenience.
The award was received by SCR Principal Chief Commercial Manager Ity Pandey and Senior Divisional Commercial Manager of Hyderabad Division at the Indian Habitat Centre in New Delhi on Saturday.
The Rail Parcel App transforms the traditional station-based parcel booking process into an integrated digital logistics platform, offering doorstep pickup, transportation through the Indian Railways network and doorstep delivery through empanelled logistics service providers.
The application enables customers to select logistics services based on pricing, performance and ratings, providing greater convenience, transparency and choice.
SCR General Manager Sanjay Kumar Srivastava congratulated the Commercial Department of SCR and Hyderabad Division on the achievement.
He appreciated the efforts of Ity Pandey, Hyderabad Division DRM Santosh Kumar Verma and Senior Divisional Commercial Manager Dr Anirudh Pamar.
He said SCR was committed to improving services for railway users through technology and digitalisation.
