ACB unearths Rs 1.35 cr cash, other assets in searches at 10 locations in DA case against Telangana DSP
Hyderabad, Sept 24 (TNT): The Telangana Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Thursday unearthed Rs 1.35 crore in cash, besides foreign currency and documents relating to suspected benami assets, during searches at 10 locations in Hyderabad and Zaheerabad in a Disproportionate Assets (DA) case against a Deputy Superintendent of Police.
The searches were conducted against Sankireddy Bheem Reddy, DSP, Police Computer Services, Office of the DGP, Telangana, in continuation of earlier searches, the ACB said in a release.
The agency said several documents and other material relating to suspected benami assets were seized from the residences of suspected benamis who allegedly had financial and other transactions with the accused officer.
Apart from the Rs 1.35 crore in cash found at the residence of Bomma Venkatesh, foreign currency and around 14 litres of foreign liquor were also found during the searches, it said.
The ACB said details of the foreign liquor had been conveyed to the Excise Department and a separate case was likely to be registered by the concerned authorities.
The DA case was registered against Bheem Reddy on June 27, 2026, under relevant provisions of the Prevention of Corruption Act.
The case is under investigation.
