Elaborate arrangements made for Chakrasnanam at Tirumala

Tirumala, Sept 22 (TNT): The TTD has made elaborate arrangements for the Chakrasnanam at Srivari Pushkarini on Wednesday, the concluding day of the annual Salakatla Brahmotsavams, with the safety and comfort of devotees being accorded top priority.

TTD Additional Executive Officer Ch. Venkaiah Chowdary on Tuesday inspected the arrangements at Srivari Pushkarini and directed officials to ensure orderly movement of devotees, smooth entry and exit, and close coordination among TTD, vigilance and police personnel.

The Chakrasnanam will be performed between 6 am and 9 am on September 23.

Devotees will be allowed to take a holy dip in the waters of Srivari Pushkarini in a phased manner through designated gates.

The TTD said the sanctity of the holy waters would continue throughout the day.

Crowd regulation will be taken up in phases from the galleries, while NDRF, fire service and swimming teams, along with boats, will be kept on standby as part of the safety arrangements.

LED screens will also be installed at various locations to enable devotees to witness the event.

The Additional EO also held a review meeting with JEOs, CVSO, SP and other senior officials at Vaibhavotsava Mandapam and reviewed the arrangements for the event.
