Telangana govt permits enhanced ticket prices for Nani-starrer ‘The Paradise’
Hyderabad, Sept 21(TNT): The Telangana government has permitted enhanced cinema ticket prices for Telugu period action-drama ‘The Paradise’, starring Nani, Raghav Juyal and Kayadu Lohar, ahead of its release on September 24.
Directed by Srikanth Odela, the film is set against the backdrop of a slum in Secunderabad.
According to an order issued by the Home (General) Department on Sunday, the enhanced ticket rates will be applicable for five shows a day from September 24 to October 3 across theatres in the state.
For single-screen theatres, ticket prices will be enhanced by Rs 48, including GST, from September 24 to 27 and by Rs 23 from September 28 to October 3.
For multiplexes and special theatres, the enhancement will be Rs 95, including GST, for the first period and Rs 45 for the second period.
The government has also permitted one special show at 6.30 pm on September 23, with tickets priced at Rs 500, inclusive of GST.
As a condition for the permission, the film’s producer, Sri Lakshmi Venkateswara Cinemas LLP, has been directed to contribute Rs 1 crore to the Telugu Film Industry Employees’ Welfare Committee account operated by the Telangana Film Development Corporation.
The order also directed theatres to screen advertisements on the adverse effects of narcotics, drugs and cybercrime and asked district authorities and cinema licensing authorities to ensure compliance.
