Hyderabad, feb 22 (TNT) : BRS working President K. T. Rama Rao (KTR) on Sunday criticised members of the Youth Congress for staging a protest at the AI Impact Summit 2026, terming the move “deplorable” and inappropriate.
In a statement, KTR said using a global platform such as an international summit for “petty political theatrics” would project India in a poor light before the international community.
While acknowledging that differences of opinion are natural in a democracy, KTR said it is important to understand where and how to register protests.
“There is a time and place for political dissent, and an international summit is certainly not one of them,” he said.
He also termed it ironic that the protest was held while Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, who belongs to the Congress party, was addressing the same AI Summit.
