Harvard to offer executive education courses in Hyderabad from December: CM
Hyderabad, Sept 17 (TNT): Harvard University will offer executive education courses in Hyderabad from December 2026, Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy said on Thursday.
The Chief Minister made the announcement during a meeting with a 30-member delegation of UK universities and business schools at the MCR HRD Institute here.
The delegation included UK House of Lords member Lord Karan Bilimoria, British Council representative Janaka Pushpanathan, Chartered Association of Business Schools CEO Flora Hamilton and officials of the British Deputy High Commission.
Reddy said the Telangana government was working to transform the state into a global knowledge hub and assured the delegation of support for establishing offshore campuses in Hyderabad.
He said the process for setting up campuses of MIT and Purdue was already underway and added that the presence of international institutions would promote collaboration with local universities and industries besides facilitating research in the state.
The Chief Minister said partnerships with institutions such as Harvard, MIT, University of London, Virginia Tech and Northeastern University could facilitate executive programmes, dual-degree courses, faculty training and research.
He also briefed the delegation about Young India Skills University and the proposed Bharat Future City, saying an education hub there would create employment opportunities for future generations.
Reddy invited representatives of the UK education sector to the Invest Telangana Global Summit 2026, scheduled for December, and said key stakeholders would be specially invited.
He said Bharat Future City was being developed over 30,000 acres as a proposed net-zero greenfield smart city and outlined the government’s plans to attract global universities and Fortune 500 companies to Telangana.
The Chief Minister said the government was also working to strengthen education and skills through ITIs, polytechnic colleges, skill universities, Telangana Public Schools and the Young India Sports University.
