Kakinada Collector inspects school, midday meal scheme
Kakinada, Sept 17 (TNT): Kakinada District Collector M N Harendhira Prasad on Thursday conducted a surprise inspection of a municipal elementary school in Santhacheruvu area and reviewed the implementation of the Dokka Seethamma Midday Meal Scheme.
The Collector interacted with students and enquired about the quality, taste and freshness of the food and whether it was being served as per the prescribed menu.
The students said they were satisfied with the food being served.
He later inspected the school’s storeroom and kitchen and reviewed sanitation in the surrounding areas.
He instructed the staff to maintain hygiene and cleanliness on the premises.
The Collector subsequently inspected the ongoing construction of a science centre building nearby and directed engineers to ensure that the works were executed with due attention to quality.
District Education Officer P Ramesh, Municipal Corporation Commissioner NVV Satyanarayana, Samagra Shiksha Assistant Project Coordinator VVV Satyanarayana, Deputy DEO Satyanarayana, MEO-1 Subbarao, District Science Officer Kesari Srinivas and municipal engineers accompanied the Collector.
