HYDERABAD, Feb. 19, 2026 (TNT) :The Federation of Telangana Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FTCCI) will host a high-level summit on the Goods and Services Tax Appellate Tribunal (GSTAT) here on Feb. 21.
The summit, titled “GSTAT: Navigating the New Era of GST Litigation,” comes in the backdrop of the formation and operationalisation of the GST Appellate Tribunal, a key appellate authority constituted to adjudicate disputes under India’s Goods and Services Tax regime, the federation said in a release here on Thursday.
Justice (Retd.) Sanjaya Kumar Mishra, President of GSTAT, will attend as chief guest.
Members of GSTAT from Telangana and Andhra Pradesh are expected to participate, along with senior officials and experts from the Goods and Services Tax Network (GSTN) and the State GST Department.
Mohd. Irshad Ahmed, Chair of the GST & Customs Committee at FTCCI, said the summit is being organised at a critical juncture in the GST framework.
“With GSTAT becoming operational, it marks a significant step in strengthening the GST dispute resolution mechanism,” Ahmed said.
“The programme aims to equip professionals and businesses with clarity and practical insights into the functioning and procedures of the newly formed appellate body,” he added.
The summit will feature technical sessions on the structure and functioning of GSTAT, including a practical walkthrough of the GSTAT e-filing system by experts from GSTN and NIC.
A panel discussion comprising senior tax practitioners, legal experts and departmental officials will deliberate on emerging challenges and best practices in GST litigation.
The event is expected to draw chartered accountants, company secretaries, cost accountants, advocates, tax practitioners, business executives handling GST matters and finance professionals.
FTCCI said it has invited stakeholders across sectors to participate as the GST ecosystem transitions into a new phase of structured appellate redressal.
