Blue Cloud Softech to invest Rs 4 crore in proposed IndiaAI Centre in Bhubaneswar
Hyderabad, Sept 15 (TNT: Blue Cloud Softech Solutions Ltd on Tuesday said it has received confirmation from Software Technology Parks of India (STPI) regarding its association as an Industry Partner for the proposed IndiaAI Centre of Excellence (AI-CoE) in Bhubaneswar, Odisha.
STPI, an autonomous society under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), has informed the company that the proposal for establishing the AI-CoE, recommended by the Odisha government, has received in-principle approval from MeitY.
STPI has asked Blue Cloud to initiate the process for executing a definitive Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). Under the proposed MoU, the company will contribute Rs 4 crore towards development of the Centre and provide industry leadership, mentorship and strategic support to AI startups.
The AI-CoE is proposed as a platform for applied artificial intelligence innovation, startup incubation and capacity building, with a focus on healthcare, governance, disaster management, education and industrial applications, the Hyderabad based company said in a release.
It will also focus on sectors identified in the context of Odisha’s geographical and developmental strengths, including oceanography, coastal fisheries, tidal and ocean energy, and women and child development.
STPI has earmarked around 10,000 square feet of built-up space along with supporting infrastructure for establishing and operating the Centre.
Blue Cloud said it would make its AI platforms, engineering expertise and enterprise and government network available to startups incubated at the Centre.
The company’s platforms include BluHealth for camera-based vitals screening, Blura SAGA and SOCEYE for public safety and governance, and Access Genie, its sovereign AI and 5G digital infrastructure stack.
Blue Cloud Group Chairman Tejesh Kumar Kodali said the company would contribute its platforms, engineering talent and mentorship to startups associated with the Centre.
Managing Director and Group CEO Vinod Babu Bollikonda said the Centre would extend the company’s ongoing work under the IndiaAI Mission and its engagement with governments in India and Africa.
The company said it would provide further updates on the execution of the definitive MoU and other material developments relating to the Centre in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements.
