TVS Motor appoints Peyman Kargar as CEO, Radhakrishnan to step down in January
Bengaluru, Aug 28 (TNT): TVS Motor Company on Friday announced the appointment of Peyman Kargar as Director and Chief Executive Officer, effective January 27, 2027.
Kargar, currently President, International Business, will succeed K N Radhakrishnan, who will continue as CEO until January 27 to facilitate a smooth transition.
Radhakrishnan will subsequently serve as Non-Executive Director until the ensuing Annual General Meeting scheduled for July 2027, the Company said in a release here.
The leadership change comes as TVS Motor builds on strong business performance and expands its global presence. In FY2025-26, the company sold a record 5.9 million vehicles globally and reported 30 per cent revenue growth.
Kargar has more than three decades of experience in the global automotive industry, having held senior leadership positions across Europe, Asia, Africa and the Middle East.
His experience spans product development, research and development, manufacturing, quality, sales and marketing.
As President, International Business, Kargar has overseen the expansion of TVS Motor’s international operations. The international business currently accounts for 29 per cent of the company’s sales volume and is growing at 33 per cent, the company said.
As CEO, Kargar will focus on expanding TVS Motor’s business in India and international markets through product innovation, premiumisation and entry into developed markets.
TVS Motor Chairman Sudarshan Venu said Kargar was an accomplished global leader with extensive industry experience, strategic vision and a strong understanding of customers and markets.
“Kargar has already made a meaningful contribution to our business as President, International Business, and I am confident he is the right person to lead TVS Motor Company and further strengthen its position among the world’s leading mobility companies,” Venu said.
He also thanked Radhakrishnan for his contribution to TVS Motor and the wider TVS VENU group, saying his leadership and commitment had helped shape the company.
Kargar said it was a privilege to be appointed CEO and that TVS Motor was entering a new phase of growth.
He said he would focus on strengthening the company’s technology leadership, artificial intelligence capabilities, quality and customer-centricity while expanding its presence in key markets.
Radhakrishnan said he was grateful for the support of employees during his tenure and expressed confidence that Kargar would lead the company successfully. He also said he would support a smooth transition over the coming months.
