Telangana Dy CM Bhatti directs Singareni to expedite exploration of Devadurga gold-copper block in K’taka
Raichur (Karnataka), Aug 28 (TNT): Telangana Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka Mallu on Friday directed Singareni Collieries Company Ltd officials to expedite mineral exploration activities in the Devadurga Gold-Copper Block in Karnataka.
Bhatti said the exploration block, secured by Singareni through an auction and located close to Hutti Gold Mines, offered a significant opportunity for the company.
He directed officials to utilise the technical expertise of Hutti Gold Mines for exploration activities in the Devadurga block.
The Deputy Chief Minister asked officials to use advanced technologies to assess the quantity and quality of mineral deposits in the block.
He also directed them to prepare plans for the subsequent stages of the project in advance so that further activities could be taken up without delay if the exploration results were encouraging.
Bhatti instructed Singareni CMD Dr Buddha Prakash Jyoti to complete arrangements at the earliest for inaugurating the company’s site office at Devadurga.
Singareni Director (Planning and Projects) Venkateshwarlu, General Manager Pankaj Kulshreshtha, Raichur Zilla Parishad member Amjad and senior officials of Hutti Gold Mines, including Arunava Ghosh, Safiyulla Khan, Vidhatri Upund and Yemnoorappa Gowda, besides retired Colonel Dastagirisaheb Dafedar, were present.
