RINL table tennis team bags runner-up trophy at All India Inter-Steel Championship
Visakhapatnam, Aug 28 (TNT): The RINL Table Tennis Team secured the runner-up position in the All India Inter-Steel Table Tennis Championship held at Durgapur Steel Plant, Durgapur, on August 27.
The championship was organised under the aegis of the Steel Plant Sports Board, New Delhi.
RINL put up a strong performance throughout the championship and finished runners-up after losing to the host team, Durgapur Steel Plant, in the final.
The RINL team, coached by Ashish Paul, comprised Deepankar Akash, Vardaan Mishra, PMC Ravi Varma and P. Maheedhar Varma. The team received the runner-up trophy and medals.
The achievement brought recognition to RINL and highlighted the sporting talent among its employees.
In a release, the company said it would continue to encourage employees to participate in sports and represent the organisation at various levels.
The team expressed gratitude to RINL management for granting permission and extending support for participation in the championship.
