Kakinada, Feb 17 (TNT) : Thangella Udaya Srinivas Kakinada MP has sanctioned Rs.75 lakhs from his MPLAD funds for the Kapu kalyana Mandapam at Peddapuram town construction of which remained halfway due to funds crunch.
The Kapu leaders of Peddapuram led by DCCB chairman and Janasena Party district president Tummala Babu on Tuesday called on the MP Srinivas at his camp office here and sought his cooperation for the early completion of the Kalyana mandapam.
Peddapuram Kapu sangham leaders Pasupuleti Saibabu, Peddireddi Rajesh, Katari Sreenu, Councillor Obilisetti Bunny, Cheduluri Srinivas, Jigini Rajababu, Rajesh khanna were among those called on the MP and thanked him for the gesture.
They assured the MP to complete the Kalyana mandapam with modern amenities.
The Kakinada MP later reviewed the progress of various developmental works in the district taken up through the Employment assurance guarantee scheme at a meeting held at his camp office with DWMA and Panchayat raj department officials.
After discussing the present status of the developmental works, he asked the officials to execute the works expeditiously without compromising on the quality.
He also asked them not to be lenient on those complacent on discharging of their duties.
DCCB chairman Tummala Babu, former MLA Pendem Dorababu, DWMA Project Director Adapa Venkata Lakshmi and Panchayat raj officials took part in the deliberations.
