Axis Energy partners with Brookfield-backed Lumara for 400 MW solar project in Andhra Pradesh
Hyderabad, Aug 26 (TNT) : Axis Energy, a catalyst in India’s clean energy transition, has partnered with Lumara, a renewable energy platform launched by Brookfield in India, for the development and engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) of a 400 MW utility-scale solar project at Nandipadu village in Nandyal district of Andhra Pradesh.
Under the partnership, Axis Energy will undertake the complete EPC scope for the solar project, including development of a 400 kV Pooling Substation (PSS) and an associated 400 kV transmission line connecting the project to the Kurnool III CTUIL Substation.
The transmission infrastructure will enable evacuation of power generated by the project to the national grid, the Hyderabad based company said in a release here on Wednesday.
The project is targeted for commissioning by the end of calendar year 2027 and is expected to generate employment opportunities for local communities during the construction and operational phases.
Axis Energy Joint Managing Director Kiran Kumar Reddy said the partnership combines Lumara’s capabilities with Axis Energy’s expertise in renewable energy development and EPC execution.
The collaboration would contribute to the development of renewable energy infrastructure and support India’s energy transition and long-term sustainability goals, he said.
Axis Energy said the partnership further strengthens its position in the renewable energy sector, with capabilities across solar, wind, transmission and balance-of-plant infrastructure.
