Hyderabad City Police invites applications for 150 Spl Police officer posts
Hyderabad, Aug 16 (TNT): Hyderabad City Police has invited applications for enrolment of 150 Special Police Officers (SPOs) on a purely temporary basis from ex-servicemen, ex-paramilitary personnel and retired police personnel.
Ex-servicemen below 58 years of age as on August 31, 2026, are eligible to apply. Ex-paramilitary personnel and retired police personnel who retired within the last two years can apply, with the upper age limit fixed at 62 years, according to the notification issued by the Deputy Commissioner of Police, CAR Headquarters, Hyderabad, on Sunday.
The selected personnel will be paid a monthly honorarium of Rs 26,000. No leave entitlement will be provided and leave taken, if any, will be treated as leave without pay.
Applicants are required to produce original documents along with xerox copies, including discharge book/discharge certificate/retirement order, Aadhaar card, PAN card, SBI passbook, voter ID and caste certificate. Technical trade proficiency certificate should be submitted wherever applicable.
Candidates applying for driver posts should possess a valid LMV or HMV driving licence. Applicants should also submit three passport-size photographs.
Interested candidates have to submit their applications personally at the SPOs Office, CAR Headquarters, Petlaburj, Hyderabad.
The last date for submission of applications is August 25, 2026, by 5 p.m.
