Bill Gates calls AP CM Naidu a “Future-Ready Leader” with Global Vision

Amaravati (Andhra Pradesh), Feb 16 (TNT): In a strong endorsement of Andhra Pradesh’s governance model, Bill Gates on Monday described Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu as a leader “ahead in vision and thinking among global leaders,” highlighting his early adoption of technology-driven governance.

Speaking during his visit to the Andhra Pradesh Secretariat, Gates noted that while many global leaders are now advocating digital governance and AI-enabled public services, Chandrababu Naidu had implemented similar models decades ago.

He remarked that the Chief Minister’s foresight in promoting information technology in the late 1990s played a pivotal role in shaping Hyderabad into a major IT hub.

Gates observed that Naidu’s governance approach reflects long-term strategic thinking, especially in leveraging data, artificial intelligence, and digital platforms to improve public service delivery, healthcare access, agriculture productivity, and disaster management.

According to Gates, the Andhra Pradesh model demonstrates how political leadership combined with technological adoption can accelerate inclusive growth.

He pointed out that India is currently leading the digital transformation journey globally, and leaders who anticipate technological shifts early create lasting economic and social impact.

By describing Chandrababu Naidu as forward-looking among global policymakers, Gates underscored the importance of visionary leadership in driving innovation-led development, particularly in emerging economies striving to balance growth with inclusive welfare.
