AP: Land re-survey to be completed by 2027 :says CM Naidu
Kaikaluru, Aug 10 (TNT): Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Monday said the state-wide land re-survey would be completed by 2027 and Pattadar Passbooks bearing the official State emblem would be issued to farmers and landowners.
Participating in the distribution of ‘Mee Bhoomi–Mee Hakku’ Pattadar Passbooks at Kalidindi in the Kaikaluru Assembly constituency, Naidu handed over a passbook bearing the State emblem to woman farmer Nallajarla Durga Bhavani.
The Chief Minister said the Revenue Records Reforms 2026 had been introduced to streamline and cleanse land records and resolve revenue-related issues.
He said 32.22 lakh tamper-proof Pattadar Passbooks had so far been distributed to farmers and landowners. The government would complete re-survey in 9,365 villages over the next seven months and distribute another 68.64 lakh passbooks, he said.
Naidu said land-related problems involving nearly 41,000 acres had been resolved so far, benefiting more than 1.27 lakh farmers, industries and members of the public.
Around 1.36 lakh acres had also been freed from freehold restrictions, he added.
The government was digitising old land records, including 1-B, Adangal, DKT, ARC, Inam and Ceiling records, and would make link documents available online.
Nearly nine lakh people had so far been provided the facility of auto-mutation, he said.
The re-survey was being conducted in the presence of farmers. After e-KYC, Pattadar Passbooks bearing the State emblem were being printed and distributed through Gram Sabhas to ensure transparency, Naidu said.
He said the government had incorporated security features similar to those used in currency notes into the passbooks, including blockchain technology and QR codes, to prevent tampering with property details.
Naidu also announced ₹36 crore for Kaikaluru to address drinking water problems in the Kolleru region.
On aquaculture, he said the government was providing subsidised power at ₹1.50 per unit irrespective of the zone. Though the subsidy was placing an additional burden of ₹1,150 crore on the government, the benefit would now be extended to 12,500 farmers in non-aquaculture zones, he said.
The Chief Minister also said the government had provided a subsidy of ₹10 per kg of tobacco and was pursuing loans of ₹50,000 per barn with the Centre.
On law and order, Naidu said the coalition government would not spare anyone violating the rules, irrespective of political affiliation. Referring to the recent suspension of a TDP leader following an alleged inappropriate behaviour towards a woman in Guntur, he said a case had been registered and an inquiry was underway.
“Whoever causes inconvenience to the people will not be spared,” he said.
Naidu also criticised the opposition, alleging that it was resorting to conspiracies and creating disturbances in the state.
Later, the Chief Minister distributed tractors to farmers and visited stalls set up at the venue.
